I've used 3 stamps for my card .The leaves,sentiment and flowers which I stamped and cut out.

Days 77 to 83

I've been AWOL from my blog this week.I have no idea just what I've been doing and why I haven't been card making but here I am now with all 7 cards made yesterday and this afternoon.
They are all for 365 Cards.


Day 77 - Super sketchy Sunday- You can see my stamped diagonal pattern in the background.This is my second attempt at a card using the bird stamp and I'm still not happy with it.

Day 78 - Imagine this- Money - This little piggy bank was my first thought.

Day 79 - Colour scheme ,Light Blue,Dark Blue,Red ,Grey and White.

Day 80 - Keep it to yourself -Friendship , without using a sentiment on the outside of your card.I've tried to make my image look like a shopping bag with a handle across the top and the visa card sticking out.

Day 81 - Setting the scene - A picnic -I think this will be quite a posh affair by the haughty look on her face.

Day 82 - Substitution please - Use a number to replace a word in your greeting.

Day 83 - Four Wheel Drive -This picture also has a couple of spare tyres,just in case.

Little Blue Bear

Just Cute Bears - challenge 17 -Recipe- 3 Brads, 2 Papers and 1 Ribbon. My one ribbon has been threaded through two chip board buttons. How sad is this little bear, even his cherry pie doesn't make him happy.His head and the pie have been printed out twice and raised on sticky pads.

Days 75 & 76 Catch up

Day 76 - Criss Cross .I started off making a trellis fence complete with creepers and flowers,it was flippin awful .This is my second attempt. Day 75 - recipe challenge -2 papers, stripes,ribbon,stamped or digi image,stamped sentiment. "Nothing else" . I didn't read that bit and have added a flower and a heart to hold my ribbon in place, bummer.The Hippo image is from Digi Kitty.

Wash Day

How cute is this bear from Sassy Cheryls . I decided less is more with this card .I love the papers and the image so didn't add too much. Last year I was obsessed by buttons this year my love affair is with chalks so all the edges are shaded and soft.

Purple ' n ' Green

My friend Jeanne had a birthday last week ,this is the card I made for her. My cutting skills are not brilliant as you can see. I should have tried the pattern out sooner so I could get it just right.
Having said all that it was made with love and that's what counts.

Black and White or Buttons 'n' Bows

I think the clever ladies at 365 Cards had a brain freeze yesterday as we had an easy challenge.Quite simply 4 Buttons and 4 Bows. The black dot in the corner of the flower panel is a gem stone but for all the world it looks like a punched bit.

This lovely flower image was a freebie from Fred She Said.My card covers a few challenges.

365 Cards -day 72 - It needs something -Add a little extra touch to an image. My extras are the bow around the bouquet and the three D effect when I printed out parts of the image twice.

365 Cards - day 70 -Super Sketchy Sunday - This is another one of the lovely new papers I bought on Saturday.The background and the triangles come from the same double sided sheet. These papers have great names 'Madrid Matador Garden' and 'Madrid Afternoon Siesta'.

Roaring Twenties

It's Wednesday already and this is my first post of the week,do I have some catching up to do.Some of my cards are ready to post,others just ideas. By the end of the day I should have it all done. Her face is bit pale on the photos but the card looks OK. The edges of the collar on her jacket have been shaded pale pink but that doesn't show either.

365 Cards -day 71 -Do That Decade - The 1920's .I think along with cloche hats this style was also in vogue.

3 Day Catch Up at 365 Cards

Day 67 - 3 L's - Lace,Love,Leaf. My flower is so shabby it's not chic any more.It looks as if I've been sitting on it.

Day 68 - 3 C's - Circle,Cross Stitch and the colour Cream. I've got Cream, Orange and Gold , an unusual combination but I quite like it.

Day 69 - 3 T's -Twine, Triangle , Tree. I went to my local craft shop yesterday and bought some beautiful double sided papers. I've used one of them above and will try and use the others this week. The colours are stunning and they have fab names.This one is called Polynesian Garden.

Hearts a flutter.

Well , this must be a record for me, 4 cards in one day and it's only 4.00 in the afternoon.At this rate I could make another 4 before bedtime.For the moment I am up to date with the 365 Cards challenges. You need to look very closely at the heart in the top picture and you will see I've cut two wing shapes from acetate and used white glitter around the edges.
365 Cards - Day 66 -The 3 W's - White space, White and Wings. I've stamped the background with a white stamp pad and embossed with clear powder.

Who doesn't love shoes

I'm making this official here in my little Blog world, "Happy Shoesday".How can we not celebrate the things which give so much pleasure and often pain .The not so humble shoe. 365 Cards -Day 65 - The 3 A's - Alpha Stickers -An Arc shape and an Anniversary.I got to use my favourite corner stamp , made an arc with punched flowers and made a new anniversary.

It took me a while to cut up stickers for my Shoesday sentiment but worth the effort.

Fit for a Princess

I've used embosssing both dry and with a stamp for this card.

365 Cards -Day 64 - The 3 F's -Fringing,Fairy Story and Favourite Colour .My Fairy Story is Cinderella ,this dress is just right for a ball. I didn't have a long length of fringing in the right colour so I fringed a piece of white ribbon on the corner under the pink flowers. Pinks and shades of Purple appear on lots of my cards so I suppose I must like them.

The Shabby Tea Room - Week 8 - Get your Bling On . The borders ,the corner stamp and the dress all have glitter on them. Subtle but it is there.

Craft Your Passion - challenge 4 - Embossing -I used a couple of brass stencils to hand emboss the dress.

Christmas Bear

Sorry about the quality of the photos,it's a bit grey and gloomy here in Tassie today.The flash keeps going off and affecting the colours.

This is my first easel card and I'm quite pleased with the results.This card covers a few challenges.

Two for Sunday

365 Cards - Day 61 - Circles 3 Ways- Bicycle Wheels,Round stamps in the corners and a round sentiment.It's all a bit pale and washed out looking,not my usual style but I quite like it.

365 Cards- Day 62 - Look Who's Talking-Use a speech bubble on your card.My little bird has been printed out twice for a 3D effect.

Happy Friday,this week had flown by .My card covers two challenges. 365 Cards - Day 60 -All That Glitters-Use 3 different colour glitters. My cupcakes and mug have pink,the leaves green and the centre of the flower white.

The Shabby Tea Room - Week 7 - Comforts of Home - To me this means home cooking,I can think of nothing better than the wonderful smell of cupcakes baking.I've just made a batch of ginger flapjack and the aroma is lovely.As soon as it hardens I will be tucking in.

The mug image is from Rusty Pickles ,all the other bits are handmade and from my stash.

365 Cards- Day 59 - Moving Parts- If you ever watched Rolf Harris painting you will know his catch phrase 'Do you know what it is yet' .I feel much the same about this bird.but he is a Turkey. He does have moving parts and he was fun to make and made me smile. Just for fun.

365 Cards - Day 58 - Crazy 8's . The crazy part is 3 x 8. So I've got 8 letters in my sentiment,8 tiny pearls, and 8 tiny flowers which I made.

Celebrate a New Arrival

Just Cute Bears - Challenge 14 is a sketch.I've used this cute stamp which I won a few weeks ago at JCB. The clown buttons are part of a pack I bought about 6 years ago ( I never throw anything away) a couple of days ago I posted another card using the Bear and Rabbit buttons.

A possible second entry for Day 57 at 365 Cards. Baby inspired by the Ad.

365 Cards -Day 57 - Ad inspired- The Ad shows baby quilts with Turtles on them . I love this chilled out turtle with his Peruvian hat, makes me smile.

Celebrate

It's Monday already,the weekends pass so quickly.I mentioned to my husband that I was on day 56 in the challenges and he was a little surprised I've entered them all as well as making a few other cards. If you've read my Blog before you'll know my lovely husband cooks at the weekends and lamb seems to be a favourite at the moment.Yesterdays dish was a lamb and plum curry,rather yummy. 365 Cards- Day 56 -Super Sketchy Sunday-A very simple card in pink and navy blue.This lovely paper is from my friend Jeanne in South Australia.

Catching up

I was out most of yesterday and didn't get the chance to make a card, so now I have two days together.

365 Cards - Day 54 -Fancy Folds- Joy Fold cards to be exact.

I've used some very busy paper which I think is fine on it's own.

365 Cards- Day 55 -On Pins and Needles -Use stitching and some pins.

I decide on a quick quilt using the sewing machine,along with small safety pins.The bear and the rabbit are buttons,I've cut the shanks off.

Love is

This card is for two challenges.

Moving Along With The Times- challenge 43 -Animals with a layout as well. I've substituted 3 pearls across the top instead of text.The cats are the main attraction here and I have only tinged their ears pink and a smidgen of grey on their tails.
365 Cards- Day 53 -Front, back and in between.Decorate all four sides of the card.

In the middle I punched all four corners of my insert. Very understated.
