Christmas deer

I popped this card in the post on Friday and then couldn't remember if I had taken a piccy -I had but the lovely green  paper does not look so good against the brown background.

Allsorts challenge week 602 has to be Christmas

Christmas Joy

My last post contained this little gnome santa and here he is again stealing the show. I have problems with fiddly things so I am pleased when he is assembled and I can wash all the glue from my fingers.

Seasons Greetings

I got this gnome die set way back in May and this is the first time I've tried it out .There is also a lady gnome with pigtails , a different shaped hat and beard. They are so cute I wish I had used them before now when gnomes were everywhere - not sure what the current trend is.

Beccy's Place - november christmas alphabet challenge - 'M' for magical- with stars on his hat he does look like a magician- my husband says it looks like a badger -  he should have gone to specsavers.

Presents for all

Beccy's Place  november alphabet christmas challenge- All the presents had a little foam behind them - I'm loving this christmas pad from kaisercraft - love colour combos.

Home for Christmas

I'm sure there will be a lot of families who don't get home this year to spend time with loved ones.

Beccy's place - november alphabet challenge - 'H' home

A wonky tree

Beccy's place - month long alphabet christmas challenge . 'T' is for tree - Not sure about the tree stamp.

I've tried not to use too much red and green this year. The background was painted with pearlescent paints from Semco.I ran some dark grey paper through an embossing folder and then rubbed with white ink.

Using up scraps

Beccy's Place - month long alphabet christmas challenge  'S' is for scraps - I love the 6x6 paper pads but you always have lots of scraps.

candles for christmas

Beccy's Place November - month long alphabet challenge - 'c' is for candles - I have to say the older I get the longer it takes for me to do the housework which means less time to craft .I also realized I needed some birthday cards for December and January - annoyingly I forgot to take pictures. Sadly not many cards to enter this year.

merry and bright

Beccy's Place -November challenge - day 5 Birds and animals -  Not the best pic as it doesn't show all the tiny gems in the flowers. This is a die from Ali Express - not the best of dies as it is much shorter than a normal card base.

a little bell

Beccy;s Place - November chalenge - day 2 'B' is for bell - I'm using the same paperpad as on day 1 which is called 'First Noel ' from Kaisercraft and I love all the non traditional colours. It has blacks, greys ,mustards and some gold foils.

christmas gift

after a shaky start I'm off and running with Beccy's great card challenge which runs for the whole of november.

birthday wreath

I know we mostly associate wreaths with christmas but I personally think they work all year round. I had to cut up  a few stamps as I didn't have anything small enough so I will make some more . I used two green inkpads (apple and avocado ) and one sky blue. I will use a patterned paper for the background again as I think it just adds a softness.

a cage but no birds

I haven't added a greeting as I may use this  to send a letter to my aunt or maybe my MIL would like it for her birthday - I suppose I could always make another similar card - I say similar because I never manage to duplicate my cards -

Double D challenge -  mood board is for butterflies.

pretty in pink

Instead of making cards I should find time to hone my photography skills - I really don't know how to get the best from pics and show the details- I used wink of stella on the flower and some pink gems for sparkle.
Creative Knockouts - challenge 362 sparkle and shine.

The Flower challenge -47 sparkle

a bit of sparkle

It's very hard to see in the piccy but I covered the vase twice  with Versamark and clear embossing powder to make it shine.Red glitter dots for a bit of sparkle -

I used watercolour pencils - a brand called Micador which I've had for years - I never add colour direct to the card but use a wet paintbrush to pick colour from the pencil tip.

a day at the beach

I have fond memories of going to the seaside as a child - donkey rides ,ice cream ,looking through rock pools with my granddad for tiny fish and crabs which I would put in a bucket only to put them back at the end of the day - I so wanted to take them home.I also remember getting stuck in quicksand and being given a real telling off. HAPPY DAYS

Double D challenge 'Let's go to the beach

I Love ProMarkers challenge 415 - inspired by the photo below. I added a tiny bit of red for interest.

baby toy card

Sometimes you have an idea in your head but getting it right on paper doesn't always work

.This super cute image was resized and printed out to form a childs pullalong toy.The card looks much better in natural light and I have tried to use the colours suggested by Beccy .I used watercolour pencils and then raised the images on sticky pads - Beccy's July challenge.

bee happy

It was so cold in my crafty space this morning the camera lens kept misting over ,this was the best pic I could manage with just a little misting at the bottom.

Allsorts challenge 580 I spy with the letter 'B' - colourwise I did ok with Blue ,Black and Brown hand painted paper - artistic licence means I can have a blue Bee.

flowers for you

I really will have to put my glasses on when crafting - this little bear was already to go on a card base - I picked a white one  and realized my bear was on grey speckle card . I quickly found a matching grey speckle card base so all was not lost - the camera however has decided to make the card look grey and the circle white- typical.Coloured with ProMarkers -the background patterned paper is from the inside of an envelope.

Allsorts challenge week 578- so cute

flowers for you

Passion for ProMarkers week 548 - use a die - I used two along with my usual AquaMarkers and Winsor and Newton grey selection - all given a finish with a wink of stella.

wonky hugs

I used the blue, red yellow and green from the AquMarkers and the lightest grey shade from the Winsor and Newton Neutrals. When I mixed the blue and red I was hoping for a violet colour ,instead I have this red wine tone which is ok as I had this dark pink paper which matched.

The image is from Stampavie.I used the 'hugs' from Ranger Letterit which seems a popular stamp set with a lot of you but I'm not so happy with it - maybe I'm just rubbish at stamping.

Passion for ProMarkers - 547 flowers and pearls.

Keeping it simple

when I looked through my pink/red scraps I was amazed at just how many useless bits of paper I have kept.I keep my scraps in colours so it should be easy to go through each colour and throw away all the really tiny bits (maybe).

I embossed a white panel to put them on  and gave them all fish tails.

A sentiment from Letterit clear stamps and a few pink gems.

GRAB OUR BADGE!
Double D challenges - Use your scraps

happy birthday

Passion for ProMarkers - week 546 - Blue and Yellow- I love my Aqua markers ,the colours are very deep which means you can add  of water and not lose the colour. I used Cerulean Blue and Cadmium Lemon which is very sharpe and almost green.

that someone special

The Flower Challenge - 45 Navy +one other colour - I went with two shades of lemon and used three of the  dies to assemble the flowers - I' not sure about this colour combo and maybe a lime green would have been a good contrast with the navy.

Birthday Wishes

sorry about the photo angle it was very late when I took this pic and there were just too many shadows.

I used Alizarin Crimson from the Aqua Markers and from ProMarkers Neutral set which are all shades of grey I used the first 3 colours. I used foam to raise the whole panel - image from LOTV.

stamping mad

This book has sewing projects from a tiny needle case to table runner or adding some cross stitch to a shirt or patchwork cushion as you can see below.
I have had this book for many years and to keep it clean I covered the outside with brown paper. When I saw the challenge it was easy to get out the sewing stamp set which was came with a magazine some years ago.

I added the tiniest amount of shading and then stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black adding just a square of detail on the front.

.I then went completely mad and sponged and stamped like crazy on the back.

Incy Wincy Design challenge to June 13th - Anything but a card.

Now I'm in the zone I've just eyed up a cook book which I can decorate with a pear stencil ,a tiny carrot stencil , I'm sure I have an apple as well , just need to look through my stash.
