Three 3 panel cards

This was the first one I made and I really give much thought to the inside panels. Flowery paper on the outside a dark green paper for the second flap with a die cut circle and a stamped flower.

This second card I added paper to open flaps at each side and when you look at the front I used a paper with a reverse pattern - white with pink flowers and then a pink background with white flowers.

For this 3rd card I just used double sided card which made the whole thing so much easier.

Not a difficult card to make if you have some circle dies - I just had not thought about how the papers should be used on the inside. I did get there in the end lol.

Have a lovely Christmas if possible with all this covid crap - we are wearing masks here in Tasmania for the first time since covid reared it's ugly. I know we have been very very lucky in our tiny state so I am not going to complain. Hugs to you all.

merry christmas

Over the years I have collected quite a few stamps and digis for this festive season but I just love the simplicity of a few circles. For me less is more every time. Classic gold and white.

Craftyhazelnut's Christmas challenge 573 - include the word merry.

Double 'D' challenge lots of white - is this enough - I hope so.

Pudding -yum

I couldn't resist making another card with this die- it's so cute. The sentiment stamp "seasons greetings" I'm not sure I like it - looks like a spider ran about with ink on his feet.

ABC Christmas challenge Y and Z - Yummy - you bet - I have to be honest about this and say the pudding I bought for last Christmas is still sitting in the pantry - I will check the date and maybe we will eat it this Christmas.

A trio of very cold birds

I'm not sure where my mind was , I think I must have had brain freeze myself when I painted these birds . It never entered my head to paint them red/brown for little robins. so three tiny freezing birds , what can I say. It was a mix of acrylic and wooden stamps with watercolour pencils.

Beccy's November christmas challenge - I'm not sure which letter to put these under "B" for birds

Allsorts week 52 stamped or digital image - for a long time I had a love /hate relationship with acrylic stamps ,Since I made myself a stamping platform I now love my stamps.

Playing catch up at Beccy's christmas card challenge

A warm sweater is a must for christmas in the northen hemisphere . A good walk after a big lunch or a stroll to the pub to catch up with friends and family - a sweater is a must.

This card says it all - home -the spirit of christmas - sadly this is as close to home as covid will allow for some families yet again. We can only hope 22 will be a better year.

Pudding - plum or pavlova - just give me some please.

Beccy's November Christmas challenge - so late to the party but still a few days to participate.

A little night owl

It's 10.30 at night not the best time to take a photo.- it's hard to see but the check paper is the same colour as the background of the owl. Apologies for the shadow at the bottom of the card.

Double 'D' challenge    - owls or pumpkins - we don't really do halloween so I was pleased the 'd' s gave us another option. I've used inks and coloured pencils.

a little touch of Christmas

making cards can be as simple as a few circles - if you have dies or punches it makes for some quick and elegant designs- I did have one horror moment - I stamped the sentiment direct to the card and then watched as the ink bled- I re stamped on separate scrap of card and stuck it over the mess.

more circles  -  a stencil and some ink - the green colour looks a bit muddy on here for some reason WIF it's a warm avocado colour.

washi tape christmas

I've never been a washi tape fan - I have maybe 10 rolls and I was very tempted to throw them out but they took up so little room and it is good to hold dies etc in place. Two made for the charity box.

sketch 92

                                                                     sketch 91

these two cards are made using layouts from John - catch up with him if you love a layout , he also has cutting files . Layouts 91 & 92 are the most recent but he started way back with layout number 1 so there are plenty to choose from.

The papers are all from this 6x6 pad which I love love love - all the papers are different and they are all lovely.

I'm back I think

My previous post is the first one in over 4 months - even when moving house I haven't had such a long break away from my blog. Coming back is always difficult because you forget the simplest of things on the computer. I wish I could tell you that I have been super busy or solving 3rd world problems but no , nothing so exciting.

I have tidied and sorted and decluttered until I can do no more and just when I was happy with my little space I had my second covid vaccine and for a long time after I just felt like crap. Every morning it was something different , headaches , sore throat , flu like symptoms, .I did the bare minimum of housework and now that Spring is here in the Southern hemisphere I have to catch up.

Too much time spent on You tube watching this man with his sketch layouts, if you like to work with a sketch John is on his 90th layout . I did also buy a few stamps in the hope I would get back to being crafty.

It's all about the leaves

A little tulip action

Things are not looking good - the more time I free up the more time I spend decluttering - every room , every drawer , cupboard , craft box . On the plus side our local charity shop will make some money from my donations. I'm not a hoarder by nature so if you are  passing by and want to drop in for a coffee make sure you bring your own mug lol .

Double D challenges have this lovely flower mood board. I went with tulips as you can see.

No stamps christmas

the dreaded peel off stickers - how many of you still have bunch thrown in  a drawer or cupboard - over the past few months I have thrown out loads and loads of these but  kept a few wordy ones - just in case - that would be now.

No explanation needed really - a few bits of card covered with patterned paper all cut by hand  . a die cut star which I then used the negative bit as a stencil for the black stars - all raised on foam squares.

Oh baby

I made use of my ribbon stash to make this card - I bought this elephant die way back in August 2020 , I can't believe it's taken  me so long to use it. And a very old stamp to add the sentiment.

Creative Knockouts - 397 add a sentiment

So very tweet

A few weeks ago I sat at my kitchen table with 2 boxes of ribbons - I made the decision anything shorter than about 6 inches had to be thrown away - now the ribbons only take up one box and they are very tidy I might just use them .

This bird stamp from Stampavie has been coloured with AquaMarkers and then die cut.

Spots and splodges

Simple is best when you have patterned papers - the sentiment was die cut a couple of times so it's  raised slightly.

Crafty Hazelnuts patterned paper challenge April 2021.

Flutter by sweet butterflies

I love the 6x6  pads but how many times do you find that you don't like half the papers -  this pack has 36 papers, everyone is different and I love them all . Good quality thick paper.  I have used 4 from the pack for this card.

A bit purple

I used quite a few of the flower stems also a script stamp which I couldn't find  when I took this pic  - true to form a couple of hours later I managed to find it in the mess on my desk.

If you love delicate flowers and stems then this stamp set from MFT is lovely - I don't buy branded craft stuff very often as it's too expensive but I know I will use this set again and again. The tiny hearts were done through a stencil - tiny gems and glossy accents which never show up.

Allsorts challenge week 617/8 AG with monochrome - I decided on a lilac/purple combo.

blue butterflies

I used the lids of some pens and glue bottles to ink up and create the circles, a few stamps and a very gentle ombre colour to create this one layer card.

A thundery sky

I spent so much time adding bits here and there I don't really see how I can add a sentiment. The stamp is from MFT "flower silhouettes" it has 10 stamps and they are all lovely. I used 5 on this card.

Light and shade

I did a mix of stamps to create this card-  I think it could be used for a few occasions - male birthday - retirement of even a sympathy card. I don't do the blending thing very often as I don't have the right inks or blending tools but with a little masking and lots of shading it's not too shabby.

I used washi tape to mask and  create the white border. This is the first time I have used this stamp set and boy was it stuck down hard to the backing acetate, I had to pull really hard and in doing so ripped off one of the flying geese ,there should be 5 in the moonlight.

autumn leaves or christmas holly

I love this image from Beccy's place but I don't just want to use it for christmas and I think using this colour combo works just fine .I used the lightest grey from the ProMarkers neutrals  and AquaMarkers using the red ,orange and yellow.

We've had a few miserable days so the pic quality is not brilliant , the dark paper strip has  flourish design in a slightly darker shade. I found a tiny stamp to add the pattern on the vase.

I love ProMarkers -  challenge 430 AG with pretty papers.

simple stem but which way ?

I've stamped this coming upwards but should it be sideways as a branch ? I have no idea.I used yellow watercolour pencils and grey marker pens -  the background paper is from 'pink paislee'.

Allsorts challenge week 614 - Use yellow

Creative Craft Cottage-  challenge 138 CAS - I think there is enough white to keep this CAS.

Warm wishes at Christmas

I hope you can see from this pic the front of the card has been replaced with acetate. I did see this technique on youtube and when I can find the post I will credit the maker.

I used watercolour pencils which will always be my favourite medium . I used a wet brush direct to the pencil to get a dark colour. The christmas flower paper on the inside is from Echo Park Paper , the image I think is from Pollycraft. I love her outfit and little christmas wreath.

you light up my life

I'm not a hearts and flowers girl , if my husband gave me something red/pink with a sickly sentiment I would be worried. Love comes in lots of colours so here is my take.

The paper , butterflies, script and lightbulb stamps are from IndigoBlu. I did tear up lots of paper and did lots of inking. The lightbulb is raised very slightly and the big butterfly has a second layer which sits up. The main sentiment is just made up from an an assortment of stamped letters.

Double D's valentine challenge - This doesn't exactly match your moodboard LOL but it is filled with love or should that be light.

Hi

I used lots of washi tape to mark out areas on this card and then used the markers to roughly colour inside the gaps - I then drew the black lines - this reminds me of an old fashioned blackboard that hasn't been cleaned properly.

I used this die set  from Darice but didn't like the leaves so I used a Kaisercraft leaf die. The flowers have all been edged with the lightest grey marker.I used an alapha die set from Couture Creations and it's not brilliant .
