Yummy Cupcake

The papers are all scraps so I don't know where they came from ,the cupcake and sentiments are from JustRite.I used an embossing tool and a coloured pencil to make my faux stitching.

The Shabby Tea Room - week 68 - My Favourite Things - Cupcakes -Gingham paper- spotty paper .
Card Patterns - Sketch 121 shown above.
4 Crafty Chicks - Stitching -real or faux. I usually go for faux as I don't often get good results with my sewing machine.

Pink and Girly or should that be Pearly

This is a bit too pink and girly for me but it may appeal to someone else when I come to sell it.

The Shabby Tea Room - Week 23 - The Delicate Cottage Rose -Pictured inspired with pinks and greens.

The Lollipop Ladies -challenge 2 - Cupcake with ruffles- The picture is a pink cupcake so I've used the colour along with a ruffle for my card.

Dress to Impress

365 Cards - day 106 - Fun with Fabric - Stamp an image on fabric for your card.

The Shabby Tea Room - Week 14 - Summer Fun - What do you need in the Summer , a new hat and some comfy shoes.
I have a huge stash of fabric but I couldn't find anything in a light colour or with a pretty design.A few weeks ago I bought a pack of inexpensive ladies hankies to use on my cards and this was a good time to use one. I used it for my hat and a border.

Swinging in the Sun

When I think about Summer I don't see a day at the beach with the sand sticking to me and making everything gritty . My vision for summer is depicted perfectly with this bear ,a swing in the tree ,listening to the birds and watching for butterflies. The sweet scent of garden flowers like honeysuckle and jasmine. I'll take those over the beach any day.

Fathers Day

Yesterday we had blue skies and sunshine,it's a very different picture today when I look out the window.Grey skies ,rain and so so cold. Owls seem to be very popular at the moment so I made two of these.

I printed the owl out 3 times and cut out different bits to make layers. A corner and sentiment stamp add more detail.

Roaring Twenties

It's Wednesday already and this is my first post of the week,do I have some catching up to do.Some of my cards are ready to post, others just ideas. By the end of the day I should have it all done. Her face is bit pale on the photos but the card looks OK. The edges of the collar on her jacket have been shaded pale pink but that doesn't show either.

The Play Date Cafe -challenge 28 - A colour combo of Grey ,Pink ,Black and White or Cream.
The Shabby Tea Room - week 9 - Chipboard . My CHIC fits the bill.
365 Cards -day 71 -Do That Decade - The 1920's .I think along with cloche hats this style was also in vogue.

Fit for a Princess

I've used embosssing both dry and with a stamp for this card.
365 Cards -Day 64 - The 3 F's -Fringing,Fairy Story and Favourite Colour .My Fairy Story is Cinderella ,this dress is just right for a ball. I didn't have a long length of fringing in the right colour so I fringed a piece of white ribbon on the corner under the pink flowers. Pinks and shades of Purple appear on lots of my cards so I suppose I must like them.
The Shabby Tea Room - Week 8 - Get your Bling On . The borders ,the corner stamp and the dress all have glitter on them. Subtle but it is there.
Craft Your Passion - challenge 4 - Embossing -I used a couple of brass stencils to hand emboss the dress.

The mug image is from Rusty Pickles ,all the other bits are handmade and from my stash.

Spring Green

My posts have been short the last few days as I have had a bad migraine.I hope you all had a good Easter weekend. My lovely husband Steve cooked lots of scrummy, yummy food.He always makes breakfast and on Sunday he also made a delicious pizza for lunch ,not a store bought base,he patiently made his own.I was also indulged with a rich beery beef casserole with 4 types of beans for dinner.
Enough of that it's making me feel hungry and it's only 3.30pm.
365 Card-Day 37 -Terrific Taggies -Those little strips of folded paper down the side of my card.
My Time To Craft- challenge 86 -On the Spot- green spotted paper was magazine freebie.
