Easter bunny
This is very easy to make.I've used felt as it doesn't fray but you can use fabric if you over lock it well or iron it onto some interfacing.I sew mine by hand but you could use the sewing machine.Once you have cut two of each pattern piece sew the inner ear pieces on to the head.
I sew the nose and mouth at this stage. I used a small piece of pink felt for the nose but sometimes I just sew a nose with pink cotton.
Sew the 2 head pieces together leaving a small gap to add the filling.Once you are happy with the filling sew the gap up.I use black beads for the eyes but you could use buttons or just sew something quirky and cute.I use extra strong thread and once the bead is secure I take the thread right through the head to back and pull it tight to give a little shape.
Sew the 2 bodies together again leaving a gap to add the filling. The amount of filling is a personal choice but don't overfill.
The head is attached with a hot glue gun.Hold the body upright on flat surface with one hand ,balance the head against it so the rabbits chin is touching the flat surface.I only glue a section between the eyes and the nose to the body not the whole head.
Using the hot glue gun I attached a large fluffy tail.If you have some white wool you can make a pom pom.

Little Boy Blue
Polka Doodles challenge- week 11- A sketch and theme of blue and brown. I've used a stencil on the base card and used blue and brown to add the diamond effect. It's hard to see on the picture but I've paper pieced the dark brown patches, his mittens and his boots.I've added a couple of snowflakes as I think he would be good for Christmas or a Winter Birthday.
The image is from Renate at Hobby Paleis.
Pink 'n' Blue
It's Thursday already and yet another quick post, no time to chat.Have a great day.
365 Cards -Day 24 -Terrific Ten.-Ten or more papers on your card. You can see mine above. My first thought was to cut a few squares and stick punched heart shapes on them, that was the easy option.I decided on a mandala card and all the pieces are hand cut using my Hot off the Press template. I added a couple of blue papers to add a little contrast.

Vintage wallpaper
365 Cards -Day 23 -Stencil it- I've used a plastic decorating stencil for the diamonds and part of a brass stencil to make my card.
As usual I had no idea when I started what the end result would be.I was thinking vintage wallpaper. I aged a cream card with gold before I started stencilling.I decorated a spare piece of card with the same design, stamped the sentiment and attached with ribbon.

Who's that in the tree ?
365 Cards -Day 22 -Movie Monday-the new release of Alice in Wonderland starring the very talented Johnny Depp is our inspiration for today. By now you should know who's in the tree.
Still not sure ,why it's the Cheshire Cat. As soon as the card was finished I realised I could have done so much more. I should have made a sliding screen at the back of the tree to cover up the cat completely. Too late now.

Fabric Flowers
365 Cards Day 19 -Imagine this -Cotton.
When I think cotton I think fabric because I enjoy sewing. My flowers are made from cotton print fabric and lace with a sparkly brad.
This is my second attempt at a card for this challenge so if you think this one is rubbish you should have seen the first one. It would be lovely if I could have a whole week when I liked all the cards I made.

Cute Daisy May- anything goes
The Creative Cottage-Challenge 2 - Flowers
Crafty Catz - challenge 24 - Spring -It's time to plant those seeds.
Pretty in Pink
This was my final selection of papers to chose from ,the pink and orange vellum on the left reminds of the beautiful saris I've seen in India but it had to go.Two of the papers I've used were given to me by my lovely friend Jeanne in South Australia. You can never have too many friends like that.
How many times have you looked at your craft stash and said "I'm not buying anymore stuff".We all have I'm sure ,but when you're given a challenge that involves different paper designs we never have enough.
365 Cards challenge Day 18- Plentiful Paper,Use 3 or more of these Gingham,Paisley,Plaid,Houndstooth or Toile.
Just Hello
Happy Friday out there.I've had a busy week ,my garden has been full of men disrupting my usual peace and quiet. They've laid a new drive and landscaped the gardens areas,it's very tidy but not nice to look at.I'm a bit of a wilderness person myself ,I asked my husband if we should gather together all the snails to keep them safe until the work was finished,he declined to comment. We have much needed rain this morning,a sound I love to hear. The rest of the week has been sunny and very warm, this sunset picture was taken from our deck on Wednesday evening ,the light colour across the bottom of picture is the Tamar river. I haven't enhanced or tampered with the pic in anyway it was just a beautiful sky.
