A little Christmas cheer

 It's almost a month since my last post , I wish I could tell you I've been on a relaxing holiday but sadly I've    just been very busy in the house and garden .

 I did manage to make Christmas ornaments  whilst watching TV .

All ready for 2013

All ready for 2013 with this easel calendar -I wish ,at least I will know what the date is .The fashion plate is from graphic45 'fashionista collection' ' haute couture' . Vintage is a rub on from Quickmate and aptly called vintage .

Unstampabelles - challenge 14 - Paper flowers or flower in my case -I did make more than one but the paper is so busy it just didn't look right.

Allsorts challenge blog - week 169 - It's a gift - I think a desk calendar is an easy gift to make and can be personalized for your best buddy -male or female.

Watering can

It's been a while since I posted ,my time seems to be spent working at the Red Cross shop or looking at houses.I love moving to a new place the problem seems to be finding one that we both like.

I thought it might be fun to make this little watering can (template from SCS).Once the template was cut out and all the fold lines scored I patiently pricked out all the holes and then sewed with pink thread.I had lots of tiny beads in my stash and added them to the centre of each swirl.A few flowers and a butterfly ,easy but a little time consuming.

Birthday mouse

My card today is shabby but not chic.It covers three challenges.

Crafty Catz-Bright and Sparkly -I have put glitter on several elements and it is bright.

Charisma Cards - Colour combo pink,brown,cream and toffee. I've managed the pink,toffee and brown but unfortunately my cake is more vanilla than cream.

Allsorts -sketch - layout I have used.

Paper is Fleur from Dena Designs ,Stamp is by Tina Wenke ,Butterfly charm from Castro crafts.Flower with flat backed pearl and brown ribbon from my stash.

This is my second card today as I am still playing catchup with challenges after not feeling too well.

Cupcake Challenge 59 " Cute as a bug "

I started out with a cream card stock which I inked around the edges with brown and a die cut leaf which I used as a mask.Using yellow,orange and brown ink around the edges of the leaf to leave an image .It looked so pretty I couldn't bear to cover it up completely so I decided to use it as a base for the butterfly .The butterfly was stamped and coloured,the yellow sections were heat embossed to make them shiny.

Christmas in September

It doesn't matter what time of year it is making a Christmas card always gives me more pleasure than any other themed card.I've used the layout from Card Patterns 'sketch 33' and from Allsorts challenge' Snowflakes in September'

I cut and folded the basic card then cut two triangles of snowflake paper (a magazine freebie) stitched them into place.The snowman and sentiment are a rub on which came from a large sheet of Christmas images bought from my local supermarket. I inked the edges of the card and punched some snowflakes in blue and silver .A silver ribbon to finish.

Enter or not

Allsorts challenge 'something for the boys' challenge 17.I had lots of fun with this one.My card is for a small boy . Behind the purple spotty card hides lots of ribbon,the tag comes off and has a design on both sides . The tag can be hung on a bedroom door handle to say if it's safe to come in.The tag is made from chipboard so it has enough weight and strength, once the images were stuck to the chipboard I inked the edges .The stripey background paper was a magazine freebie which I've had for ages.The images are from Fred she said and Pollycraft.

Birthday

Allsorts challenge week16 . Anything goes as long as it's not stamped in anyway .This gives me .the chance to show a beautiful decoupage design . I'm not really a fan and it's a bit old hat these days but I just love the colours. The sentiment was printed on the computer.

torn paper

Allsorts challenge week 15. Not only do we have a sketch to follow but also to add torn paper to the layout in some shape or form.I've chosen red and green ,this could almost be a Christmas card if I changed the greeting.The patterned paper was a craft magazine freebie,the image is from Fred She Said. Three buttons with ribbon add a sentiment and it's done.

Summer

It took me a while to make this one,looking through recent challenges I decided I could combine three challenges together.Card Patterns sketch 28,Allsorts challenge 14 an English Garden and Pink Elephant Summer challenge 28.As you can see I've used lots of paper from denadesigns ,they have really good mixed paper packs ,this one is called 'Fleur'. I love the little bunny image.
