One image 5 cards

Christmas Cards All Year Round -the challenge for June was to use bright colours on your cards and also to make 5 cards .They can all be the same or all different.I picked one image that I really like and printed it out 5 times,all the images were the same size.You can see the cards grouped together above and below each card on its own.

These cards were all easy to make and require no special equipment except fancy cut craft scissors and a sharp craft knife.I used chalk to soften the edges of my images.

365 Cards - Day 108 - Sing along with a twist -This is a song called Rainbow Connection ,I'm not sure if I've ever heard this song.The idea is to make a card without using a Rainbow .

Reading through the lyrics it appears to be a journey or a search for something that you may or may not ever find. Who knows ? My advice be yourself.

Get a head ,get a hat

This image is the inspiration for the challenge this week.I've gone with the colours which I think are a great combination.

I have a question. Who steals my time ? I have a whole week to make a card and I manage to get it done about an hour before the challenge closes , some days I am too late. So come on out there who's got my time.

Little C's challenge - June 15th. My piccie is a real disappointment ,the house is full of sunlight so the first piccies I took made the red look pink.I closed all the curtains but then the flash kept going off and I don't know how to turn it off. The colour is a beautiful cherry red,when my OH gets in from work I will get him to show me.

The pretty pin is from Rachel Witthaus.The site is under construction so I am not sure when the pins will be available.On Friday I uploaded a card using another one of Rachel's pins.

365 Cards - day 106 - Fun with Fabric - Stamp an image on fabric for your card.

The Shabby Tea Room - Week 14 - Summer Fun - What do you need in the Summer , a new hat and some comfy shoes.
I have a huge stash of fabric but I couldn't find anything in a light colour or with a pretty design.A few weeks ago I bought a pack of inexpensive ladies hankies to use on my cards and this was a good time to use one. I used it for my hat and a border.

Swinging in the Sun

When I think about Summer I don't see a day at the beach with the sand sticking to me and making everything gritty . My vision for summer is depicted perfectly with this bear ,a swing in the tree ,listening to the birds and watching for butterflies. The sweet scent of garden flowers like honeysuckle and jasmine. I'll take those over the beach any day.

Nice things in the post

A few days ago I saw a post on the blog of Rachel Witthaus who was looking for a handful of people to try out the craft pins she has been making.The pins are just beautiful ,I'm not sure when they will be available but you should make a note of Rachels site which is under construction.

My card is a bit busy but the pin just adds that little bit extra.I will use the gold one in the next couple of days and show you my card.

Days 100 to 105

I've been missing from my blog again this week.I think when the cold winter weather came in the front door my inspiration went out the back door. Day 105 - Super Sketchy Sunday - When I saw this paper a couple of days ago I new it would make a great card for this challenge. It is a flocked paper and very soft and was bit tricky to cut cleanly. The beautiful pin on the left is from Rachel Witthaus.A separate post above gives more detail.

Day 104 - Life's a Party - Use the word party on your card.As I have used white and silver this card could be used for any celebration.

Day 103 - Peek a Boo -Cut out an image and put the pattern paper on the inside .I'm not sure what sort of paper this green is but I couldn't manage to stamp on it without a smear.I didn't have any Stazon so I will have to redo the inside. See my card below with the trees cut out.

Day 102 -Repetition is the Key- Use an image and a word at least 3 times on your card.

Day 101 - Inchie x 10- Use 10 inchies on your card.I used 9 to make a picture which looks like a tiled effect. My 10th has the sentiment on it.

Day 100 -All lined Up - Have at least three items in each line you create.

Peace and Quiet

Father bear is trying to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet in the garden with his book.I've printed him out twice and used sticky dots to raise him up.

Wedding Day Blues

The only thing missing from this card is the kitchen sink ,I got a bit carried away.The blue flowers on the cake are sequins ,the white flowers in the middle are nail stickers. The flowers around the oval are punched and each one has a glitter centre which doesn't show up on the piccie.

365 Cards -Day 98 -Super Sketchy Sunday - I've used the layout for my card.

Fathers Day

Yesterday we had blue skies and sunshine,it's a very different picture today when I look out the window.Grey skies ,rain and so so cold. Owls seem to be very popular at the moment so I made two of these.

I printed the owl out 3 times and cut out different bits to make layers. A corner and sentiment stamp add more detail.

Day 97 Supersize -Make a card 5x5 X 8x5 For some reason when I try to take a photo it just goes blurred.I think I need to change the setting to portrait but I don't know how.

This is the card but on landscape setting.Sorry folks.

I thought everything was going to be fine and I would get my last two cards for the week posted,but no.The camera ,the computer all decided to malfunction.Here are my cards but I think I have missed the deadline.

365 Cards -Day 95 -It's So You -A bit of a faded beauty that's rough around the edges.that describes my card and me.
I'm never sure what the time is in the USA so I have no idea if my cards for Friday and Saturday will be on time.

Pearly White

My card covers two challenges.

City Crafter - challenge 7 - Button and Bow.I have four of each.

365 Cards -Day 94 - Combo Card- Pick 3 previous challenges and combine them on one card.The challenges must come from different months,March,April and May.
March -Day 25 -Do It Yourself -glitter brads and/ or pearls.It took me longer to thread the needle than it did to sew on the pearls,I must wear my glasses.
April - Day 33 -Whip Stitch It.
May - Day 74 - Buttons and Bows- 4 of each.

When I grow up I'm going to eat YOU.

My little easel cards covers two challenges. This adorable lion is from Meljen's .Instead of using buttons or flowers I made some small paper bows .Punch or hand cut a few circles of paper in different sizes ,scrunch opposite sides together and secure around the middle with matching thread .Pull the thread tight and tie off,arrange paper edges into a fan shape.

My time To Craft - challenge 94 - Wild Things . He may grow up to be the King of the jungle but he's just a pussycat at heart.

Flora and Fauna

Sugar Creek Hollow- Recessed Window Cards - you can find the instructions here .This is my first attempt,I think the recess is a bit shallow and my square is not central on my card.The image is from Sugar Creek Hollow.The flower and butterfly have been printed out twice and raised on sticky pads.

High Rise

365 Cards- Day 93 - Clowning Around -Clowns or Circus related. I'm not a fan of clowns and I can see why some children are frightened. I love Elephants and this would be some amazing feat of strength and balance.I've tried to make the side panels look like the edges of a curtain being pulled back just to get a glimpse.

Vogue

My imagination or rather lack of it never ceases to amaze me .The challenge at 365 Cards was to use tissue paper,a simple enough thing to do.I always keep the tissue paper from my shoes and had the above vibrant colours including black to make my card.I could and should have made a wonderful creation , instead I made this .I used the black tissue paper to make a little black dress.I used a silver jelly roll pen and a bit of silver ribbon.

The colours on my card cover the challenge at Little C's - Challenge- Inspired by picture .The mannequin paper is beige with a grey design .I've also got Blues,Browns , Black and Grey pearls.

The DT at Little C's have gone with bright ,bold colours ,I've used shabby faded tones.
