I've stamped this coming upwards but should it be sideways as a branch ? I have no idea.I used yellow watercolour pencils and grey marker pens - the background paper is from 'pink paislee'.

I think upwards works well but I like your idea of a sideways use. Grey and yellow work so well together - lovely work.
