The cardstock is a beautiful milk chocolate colour but for some reason it looks very dark and all the cones have been coloured - again not really showing up .The cone stamp is part of a birthday set which I've had for years and never used - it came from K-mart when they used to stock acylic stamps . Whatever you are eating this festive season make it merry - good cheer to one and all.

friendship
I used this kaisercraft embossing folder called fern leaf -I inked with a little gold and green ink then used two square dies to make a frame - the frame was a bit floppy and it got worse when I die cut the flowers with the kaisercraft fine line flowers die. I had to cut everything again and stick it together to make it solid enough to use -

birthday smiles
I spend more time just looking at my craft space than actually making anything - my inspiration has gone - time to try something new to me - I taped my card blank to my craft mat and placed a slightly wider piece of cardstock over it - you can see the washi tape at the top of my card blank and to the side of my spare piece of card. you can do this in stamping platform as well.
I didn't have any solid stamps - I did think about using a die cut or a stencil but I didn't want a perfect shape so I roughly cut a shape from a piece of scrap card .I flipped the spare cardstock to one side and inked the card base then flipped the spare cardstock back and inked again.
Craft Stamper - December make it challenge

I carried on with the inking and moving the stencil on each layer until I was happy - so now I have two panels that look the same . On the spare piece of a card I stamped a flower and leaves from Altenews 'be happy' set then cut it out with scissors .I used some fun foam on the back and then lined it up with shapes on the card front.

a christmas wish
don't you just hate it when the camera doesn't show the colours properly - the stamped wreath is a slightly paler green than the plain background paper. I used 3 of the stamps from this very old paper smooches set - I made my own wreath builder using a square die on some firm cardstock -so easy to do. I added glossy accents to the pink dots and some black gems to tie in with the black sentiment.

'C 'is for Christmas
'b' is for bauble
'a' is for aperture
'a'is for aperture -this is the third attempt at making this card - the panel has fun foam behind it for a bit of extra lift - I had to take the piccy at this strange angle to avoid images in the mirror gold circle.

Charity box cards
I'm always happy to help my local cat rescue centre - I will add these to my stash and once I have 100 cards finished I will pass them on.
happy birthday
. I picked up a 6x6 paper stack from my local discount store and surprisingly there were lots of papers I loved and lots that went together . I usually only find a few sheets in these pads that I really like.

go wild
Crafty Animals -challenge 31 - anything goes.
My old laptop was getting slower and slower so I decided to change up - nothing too fancy ,I only need it for basics- well , the new pc is not compatible with me - I think that may be why I haven't posted for a while - so after several attempts with the new pc with no luck - brought out the old pc and I am a happy bunny again until my husband gets home - he really thinks I should be savvy with all this tech stuff and I'm not .
Have a great weekend

the dreaded 'O' word
I had several attempts at this card before anything was put together. The dreaded 'O' word -we are happy to use so many colours in our crafting but orange is usually at the bottom of the list - unless it's for Halloween . The two stamps on the left are from Couture Creations and Altenew - all the tiny stamps on the right are from Paper Smoochies .I added white gel pen to the centre of the small flower and some crystal glaze on the 3 orange dots.

Christmas stockings holding me up
Just when I thought I would have time to make some cards I found myself sewing instead - 45 Christmas stockings - it's all for the same charity but now I can finally make some cards.

It's all gone pear shaped
My Time To Craft - challenge 405 - anything but a card -
I borrowed this book from my local library on Saturday and loved the look of these pears which are slightly stuffed with wadding. I used freezer paper to print out the template -it is much easier to cut out the felt using this method - as you can see I have six pears in the tan colour and on Sunday I cut out six more in dark green - they are very easy to put together - at some stage I will have to make a few birds to go with them.

more charity cards
To try and speed up the card making for the charity box I bought the Hunkydory pack which had lots of lovely card bases , inserts , papers ,dies ,stamps and even an embossing folder. Some of the card bases were big enough to cut in half - the pack had a magazine with lots of ideas but I will be just using the stuff to make as many cards as I can.
charity box makes
I will be making as many cards as I can over the next few weeks for a local cat rescue center

transformed........ sort of
I picked up this scruffy chest of drawers from a local charity shop - I think it must have been in a garage or workshop -paint spray and paint runs - the top had been covered with sticky back plastic and it did not want to come off - I had to use a wallpaper scraper and chip away - there was no way this was going to peel off.
I bought some very pretty paper napkins to decoupage the top but my husband (what is it about men and wood ) thought the drawers were in good condition and it would be a shame to cover them up.
They had a good sanding down - some undercoat and then 2 top coats of white paint- lots of wax - new knobs - new board at the back of the drawers. The urge to do some decoupage has not gone away but gone away but for now I have extra storage in the spare bedroom.

happy thoughts
I was a bit disappointed as my card dried it was a bit paler than I would have liked. To keep it CAS I left the flowers centres white . I used one flower and two leaf stamps from the 'smile more ' set along with a sentiment and matching die.

Trial and error
I love this cute image from LOTV - my first attempt the sentiment was a bit too high - the second was much better and went off to my FIL with a cheeky message inside. not sure what I can do with the top one- it may have to go in the bin.
all about the papers
