I promised myself that this year I would play along and make a card for each day of the challenge and here we are at Day 21 and I only just joining the party over at Beccy's Place -I used 3 different stamps on a biscuit coloured cardstock - then coloured with Aquamarkers .

Shades of Blue and Brown

Can I say a BIG thank you to my 81 followers who have not yet deleted me from their list. This last year has been a strange one - I have lost a lot of my bloggy mates due to divorce -moving house- and even death -along with  my own little problems I have struggled to find any interest in crafting , in fact any interest in anything at all - I'm not sure if and when normal service will be resumed but I will try .

 

As you can see all 3 cards use a brown cardstock with blue and white.

 Creative Craft Cottage - challenge 72 - Anything Goes - I had the idea for this card two weeks ago when the challenge was spots an stripes but just never got the time to make it - lucky it fits the theme this time around.

Cuddly Birthday

I love  ProMarkers- challenge 315- Birthday -  I used AquaMarkers for this card and a sweet stamp from Cuddly Buddly which I've had for quite a while.

A square card

Passion for ProMarkers challenge 358- hip to be square - I used AquaMarkers for my cute elephant- typical me I coloured the elephant first and then had to search through my stash to find some papers - I never learn.

I took this pic on Monday when it was rainy and gloomy so the colours look a bit faded with the flash on the camera, I have'nt been able to turn it off despite pressing all the flash buttons on my camera.

I've just noticed I haven't removed the backing on the sticky tape across the bottom of the planter. We've had a lot of rain today and the sky has been heavy and dark which is not good for taking pics. The colours are sage green cardstock -very pale pink for the circle and the sentiment is made up from a sheet of rub-ons.

This was made for a music loving man in his seventies - the photos don' really pick up all burnished gold of the musical notes - it's much better IRL.

I cut away both the edges of the card leaving just the centre strip to decorate.

Shades of grey X 2

 I managed to stamp this on linen look paper - not an easy job - I love the way it comes out after adding some shade.

This one was stamped on plain white card stock - very smooth- the stamping came out very evenly.

About 8 months ago I won a prize of   $30 to spend at a craft shop - every time I found a product I liked it was always out of stock - so my prize money sat there until a few weeks ago when I purchased Altenews 'Lacy Scrolls ' , this stamp set has 2 solid flowers and 18 leaf / scrolls . I used them to make both cards.

I stamped and heat embossed the butterfly -added a little colour and some gems - this is a big butterfly so I didn't want to add too much.

Scrapbook Boutique - February challenge -  The mood board is an interesting change from the cupcakes, ( which I will miss -always so yummy to look at ) it was hard to decide which elements to include on my card -in the end I kept it safe and simple.

We have a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create - 110 - Lace and Pearls - I used an image from Meljens - the pink paper is a magazine freebie - I cut up an old birthday card to make the frame.

The papers and the flowers are a magazine freebie - the colours are a bit bold for me but I think the blue and dark yellow give a bit of life to the paper.

Camera shy

10 days ago we took 5 year old Bella  into our home - she has the sweetest nature but really didn't want me to take her picture - I think her previous owners have been quite strict as she doesn't sit on the sofas -  only on your lap when invited for a cuddle - our bedroom door is open but she doesn't disturb us during the night for a cuddle or to play .

I have bought her a few cat toys so I hope we will see her personality come out  over the next few weeks.
I shouldn't complain ,  but I'm happy to be woken with a cold nose or a soft paw pushed into my face.

Passion for Promarkers - challenge 330 - Clean and Simple - The elephant ,hearts and sentiment are all part of the same stamp - only 4 sequins are my extras. I used Aquamarkers in Cadmium - Cerulean Blue and Cobalt Green - the blue half of the hearts are brushed with a Wink of Stella .

these cute cats are 'from the heart ' - the paper is a magazine freebie which I've had for a long time , it's very busy and I was sure it would end up in the trash . I used a couple of heart punches and some pearls.

Passion for ProMarkers - week 328 - Fantasy -

We had a visitor in the garden on Sunday  - this Echidna must have been looking for food - the weather has been so very dry for such a long time - we put out the water and he was happy to drink it. He spent all day just sniffing around and disturbing all the ants - he eventually found a dark shady place to sleep .I didn't see him yesterday so he must have gone on his travels.

After struggling with the hot weather for the past few days today is cool , very cool and very cloudy so my pics are taken with a flash and without- not sure which I prefer- the colour is wrong on them both.

The little cat is from Personal Impressions and the hearts are part of a set from Beccy's Place . When I've used kraft before I'm always tempted to use red but so many others colours are a perfect match.

Apologies for the pic -the sun is very bright - the left hand side of the card is actually pearly grey.

This is the 3rd  card using the circle and flowers - still keeping it simple but this time a cute little cat from  Sami Designs - sentiment stamp from Stampit and some patterned paper.

Keeping it simple day 2

When it comes to card making I'm not sure I will ever find my 'style' but I seem to lean towards the clean and simple . This card uses the same flower circle as yesterdays but this time I changed the sentiment for a butterfly -ribbon instead of twine and I used a different scissor design on the edge paper. I used water colour pencils for the flowers. You don't need a lot of supplies to make pretty cards just a little variation,

Butterfly challenge 45 - X is for Xanthine - a yellow colouring matter found in some plants - so a yellow butterfly plus a little yellow elsewhere.

It's your birthday

We have a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create - challenge 109 - Layers -I have 4 on top of my base card - the flowers have 3 layers.
Just before Christmas  I bought a pack of metallic permanent maker pens from my local supermarket -I used the blue pen instead of using ink on the stamps.I need to carefully go over the R in the word 'your'.
