Happy Friday or it would be if my punched pink flowers didn't look peachy . Cute flower stems from Beccy's Place.

Tuesday Morning Sketches-  285 .They always have great sketches , pop over to their blog and join in.

Have a good weekend ,I'm supposed to be shopping for shoes and clothes this afternoon - it probably wont happen as I'm midway through sorting  my dress making patterns - some of them are 20 years old - if I keep them another 10 years they will probably be fashionable again.

Happy Birthday

This is my first live post for 9 weeks since my hand operation- I think the joy of being able to craft again has gone to my head -  too many embellishments .I have made 5 more cards this week but they are under wraps until Feb 1st.

So this is for the January challenge at Scrapbook Boutique - inspired by the photo . They have a great prize this month so pop along over to their challenge blog and join in - be quick it closes end of Jan .

Trees

This is the last of my scheduled posts - tomorrow I will have the bandages on my right hand removed - the last 7 weeks have been difficult and very frustrating - .I can't wait to get back in the craft room as I have the lovely February release set to play with.

I love this tree set from Beccy's Place , I just wish I had been able to make a few more cards before my op - after colouring I added lots of glossy accents - As always the sets come ready coloured if you are in need of a quick card or you can be creative with the black and white images, adding glossy accents,glitter ,tiny buttons or sequins to your trees. Two more cards I made way back in November before my op ,  using the January New Release set from Beccy's Place -  How adorable is Ellie with her handbag pet ,so cute. The sentiments are perfect for BBF cards. As always the images come in colour and black and white .

NEW RELEASE SET FROM BECCY'S PLACE - YOU GET THE IMAGES IN COLOUR AND BLACK AND WHITE ALONG WITH THESE LOVELY SENTIMENTS.

I made this card in early November before I had the op on my hand - I tried to  make the flowers the focal point without actually making a flowery card -does that make sense. Pop over to Beccy's Place and you can see what the other design team members did with this set.

happy holidays

I usually make a card for my blog at this festive time but as you can see I've only managed to upload an image . My last 3 post have been scheduled as I had an operation on my right hand in mid November - the bandages will come off mid January - seriously I can not wait for that day - my left hand seems to have a mind of it's own  ,my brain sends the message but it's gets scrambled along the way - so - no HO HO HO but OUCH OUCH OUCH - not only the pain in my right hand but all the damage I can inflict with the left hand - you have to laugh.

Stanley with Snowflakes

The shape of the snowflakes are so pretty I couldn't resist using them on their own . This is another new release from Beccy's Place called 'In the Christmas Garden ' .The digis come in colour and black n white . I thought it would be fun to keep the colours soft and stick with pinks and grey.

Christmas is just around the corner -yikes

This is the last set from Beccy's Place I'm showcasing for October - This is one of my favourite plants for the festive season. I know red is the usual colour but creams and pinks are also on offer at the garden centers .I used the design with the Christmas script in the background but if you use the plain background I think this flower could be used for birthdays.

Simple can be very effective and I didn't want to add too much to this lovely festive verse .

Christmas ? bring it on.

It's not always easy using black  - to define where his flappy little wings are  I used a white pencil to add a little shading. I also paper pieced his scarf and went around the image with a grey copic pen and added lots of glitter.

I used a dark grey for this penguin but it doesn't really work for me - I prefer the black above with the shading. Hopefully this will help when you colour your own images.

Another lovely release from Beccy's Place -  I must confess I haven't played with this set very much but how could you not love this cute penguin . I paper pieced his scarf on the top card and made a gift tag with a sentiment on the back.

Southern Girls challenge - Getting Wordy

Creative Craft Cottage  - challenge 28 - Colour/ bingo - I've picked two colours (pink and lilac )and two bingo items (lace and flowers) .

I've done lots of layers with the three flowers around the rectangle.

Jack - o - lantern

If you haven't got you Halloween  sorted out don't despair these fab digis  from Beccy's Place are just perfect . If you don't have time to scoop out a fresh pumpkin then print a large Jack- o -lantern -carefully cut out the eyes and mouth -stick it to a glass jar with a tea light in the bottom.

For this card I printed the foliage twice and used foam pads to layer it.

I printed this image and sentiment directly onto patterned paper .

An easy card with a lovely message using an aperture card blank.

Traditional Christmas colours with a hint of gold and glitter.                                                                        

Alternative colours for a festive card - I went around the edges of this image with a pale grey Copic to give a little depth.

For the next 6 months I will be on the design team at Beccy's Place and have the chance to use the great digi sets Beccy creates.
This is one of  4 new release sets from Beccy's Place  which I will showcase in October. The digi images come in black and white for you to colour and pre-coloured  if you want to make some quick cards  (as you can see at the top of this post ).
