My fav card from 2012 and an update.

Good morning from a hot and sticky Tasmania ,the mercury is set to rise high today . I've been out in the garden and filled the bird baths and the pond so all creatures great and small can have a drink or a bath.

I hope you all had a lovely time over the festive season .I didn't make any cards but I did read a few books .I particularly enjoyed
The Betrayal by Y.A. Erskine -contains some strong language but an insight into the Tasmanian Police force.
Evil on the Wind by Diney Costeloe  - a fictional book giving a brief ( but I'm sure accurate ) glimpse into life for Jews in the second world war.
When God was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman - a strange story about family and friends which I had to read right to the end.
If you want something lighthearted ,funny and easy to read then Carole Matthews may be for you.I saw the new James bond film Skyfall ,Daniel Craig just doesn't do anything for me .Since the arrival of Craig all the silly gadgets have gone along with amusing  little one liners we associate with the Bonds of old.

New Years Resolutions -
Spend less time reading other peoples blogs and more time crafting. Last year was my lowest ever with just 95 posts.
Buy NO new craft stuff for  one year -I can do it and so can you ,we all have way too much stuff .

The challenge at  Papercraft  Star is to share your fav card from 2012 . This was originally posted in June.

This is gorgeous Gail! Love the soft colours. I agree, I should really stop buying craft stuff, I am sure I have enough goodies to keep me going for 5 years. Thanks for sharing your favorite project with us at Papercraft Star.

I can see why it's your fave! Gorgeous work. Hope you haven't been impacted this last week with the fires, the heat has been bad right across the country. Hugs, Marcia

I remember this card...cute and beautiful colours. I hope you are safe from all the fires Gail. Happy New Year to you and your hubby. I have finally packed away Christmas and finding some time to see what people are up to in blogland. I can relate to your read less blogs but they are so much fun. I am actually slowly making my way through my blog feed list and have taken a couple off. Wonderful blogs and amazing crafting just not the style I actually do. Happy Crafting.
