365 Cards -day 177- Colour 4 ways .His beard and moustache are coloured using a white pencil,the hat is done with white acrylic paint ,the edges of the tree are inked and the image and sentiments computer toner.

Splish Splash

The legs on the bath have been heat embossed gold.The bubbles were printed out twice and raised on sticky pads. I'm not sure the tiled effect works but I would love a bath like this one.

365 Cards - Day 178- Imagine this - Sugar- So many things are made using sugar, in England we call it Candy floss , you may know it as Fairy Floss. It comes in the most lovely pink and that is the route I've taken for my card.

Stamping Vacation - Sentiment -Even sugar doesn't have you beatwhen it comes to being sweet.I have a feeling I may have missed the deadline for this one.

When I saw this picture on Cupcake Inspirations the grey icing made me think musical notes.I wish the inspiration came so easily for other challenges ,by the time I come up with an idea another week has passed and I've missed the deadline.

The background paper is flocked and from an old card. I didn't want any harsh black so the music paper I stamped in grey.The pin and the flower I made myself ,.The music note is a die cut given to me 4 years ago by a friend in Saudi Arabia ,I knew I would use it one day.The lace is cut from a piece of curtain.

Wise Words

The green paper is stamped with 'A bit of Burlap 'from Uppity stamps. This stamp was part of a prize I won a few weeks ago so I thought I would try it out. The flower is a rubber stamp from Amazing Creations.If I could go back and start this card card again I would leave out the stitching ,it looks like a bad operation scar.I would also tear the printed paper across the bottom.

What ya doing Wednesday ?

I've turned this sketch upside down for my card.

Many moons ago ,years in fact I bought a pack of assorted peel offs .The pack was a combination of images and sentiments ,black,silver and gold.I thought I would dig them out and make some Christmas cards.

365 Cards - Day 175 - Super Sketchy Sunday- The purple paper is from HOTP.

I wish I could tell you where this little mouse came from ,I only downloaded him last week so I should be able to find his owner.The steep curve of the umbrella made me think I could incorporate it into the circle . As long as you don't look too closely it's not a bad effort.I always have my best ideas when the card is finished ,next time I will print him a bit smaller and make a shaker card with tiny clear and pale blue beads inside for raindrops.

365 Cards - day 176 - Pierce and Piece - The umbrella is paper pieced and the piercing is on the flowers and corners.

Classic Black 'n' Cream

Realised I forgot to add the flowers on the card below.

I got off to a bad start with this one,the flowered paper is supposed to be at the bottom of the card.When I realised the card was the wrong way round I decided to use it anyway.The colours are Black 'n' Cream which don't show up very well.

Flopsy in the rain

For the past year I've been a faceless blogger .As guest designer this week at Crafty Sentiments they asked me for photo to go with my card .On Sunday morning Steve took the dreaded photo and the result wasn't too scary which is why you can now see me.Southern Girls entry for DT.




The challenge at Crafty Sentiments is mono with one other colour.As you can see I chose grey with a splash of pink.The image is from Crafty Sentiments - Flopsy in the Rain. Flopsy has been printed out twice and raised on sticky pads,the umbrella was printed out a third time on the grey background paper. I'm not sure where the paper came from ,it's a speciality Chinese paper.

Pink and Girly or should that be Pearly

This is a bit too pink and girly for me but it may appeal to someone else when I come to sell it.

The Lollipop Ladies -challenge 2 - Cupcake with ruffles- The picture is a pink cupcake so I've used the colour along with a ruffle for my card.

I don't often make cards for men ,poor things never get a look in on the challenge sites.

365 Cards -day 171 -Wacky colour Wednesday -Brown ,Yellow and Grey. Now I'm happy with this combo ,nothing wacky about it. I think I could and should have picked a better yellow paper.I've used a ruler to tear the paper so it had a slightly rough edge.

Isn't she lovely

I've given the card this title with tongue in cheek.I thought she was quite pretty until I came to colour her in.The outlines of the image need to be a little bolder ,trying to use any dark colours is impossible.This is my second attempt to make a card.

365 Cards - day 170 -Tuesday triplets -buttons,flowers,circles and the colour green.My buttons are round and a very dark green.The rest is pretty obvious.

I've never made an ATC before , couldn't quite see the point but I'm never one to dismiss the idea. My ATC reflects things about me ,I love music ,flora and fauna.

This cute bear is from Di's Digi Downloads -pop across and have a look ,if you love cute then this is the place to go. All the images are just adorable ,I could spend lots.

Southern Girls DT entry.

The last few cards I 've posted have been a bit crappy and are now in the recycle box.I never throw them away ,the card is always useful to make templates and tags. I quite like this little card as it's just clean and simple.

365 Cards- day 164 - Funny formula- flower+pink+stamp+glitter.I've stamped my flower on pink card and done a glitter centre.

365 Cards -Day 167 -Blog Inspired -I've got the beige colours for the background and the birds flying across .The stamp is part of a set called Birds Galore from Inkadinkado .My sentiment celebrate is for all crafters who have a a Blog.

Crafty Sentiments Digital Designs- Challenge 5 - Tag It. Flopsy bunny is a freebie from Crafty Sentiments. I cut her out and used sticky pads to raise the image.The strawberries are also raised on sticky pads.

365 Cards -day 163 - August Inspired - Back in England this is the best time for strawberries after they've had the whole Summer to grow and ripen. I used to go to the local farm and pick lots so that I could make preserves.Yum.

The Lollipop Ladies- challenge 1- Banana Split- If you've eaten this yummy dessert you will know that the banana has only a small part to play. You should expect 3 flavours of ice cream ,fresh cream , some sprinkles or nuts and chocolate or raspberry sauce.

Clean 'n' Green

This stripey paper already had the tulip image on it which I think is lovely.It was very easy to add the hearts,ribbon,lace and a pin for a very effective card.The sentiment is a stamp.

If you pop by often you will know I seem to be on winning streak at the moment.My little bear card from August 3rd won a second prize from The Character Cafe and yesterday my Flopsy bunny tag won me some digi images and a guest spot on Crafty Sentiment.The above is a sneak peak at my card for next week as guest at Crafty Sentiments.

Day 159 - 5x5 card - 2 3x3 papers- 1 sentiment- 1 image- 4 flowers and 2 buttons. I bought this double side paper whilst we were away at the weekend.

Day 160 - the recipe above with the addition of one extra image. I used one stamp for the bird and a small stem stamp on the sentiment tag.The double sided paper is from the same pack as I bought at the weekend.

I'm really pleased I managed to get all the cards done for last week.The recipes really tried my patience and I hope we don't have too many more challenges like this.

Withdrawal Symptoms

A Very Happy Wednesday to all my crafty friends.I've only been away for 4 days but it seems like forever.I bought a few sheets of paper over the weekend but the Hobart area doesn't seem to have many craft shops,lucky for me I live in Launceston where there are quite a few.

If you have are travelling around the area South of Hobart or you need to be close to Hobart then Walton House is the place to stay . This accommodation is pure luxury with large beautifully appointed rooms, guests are treated like VIPs.We all expect a few complimentary goodies in our room , John and Tanya go the extra mile and also provide Port and choccies.

Happy Friday ,this will be my last posting until Tuesday or Wednesday as we are going away for a few days .My last post of a little bear won me a prize at Creative Inspirations. My lovely husband wants to know why I don't have the same success with the lotto. The next time I pick numbers for the lotto I am going to use the numbers from my challenge entries.Have a great weekend ,I will have some serious catching up to do when I get back.

Day 158 -5x5 Card -no stitching or rhinestones.

Day 157 - No stitching, instead 2 patterned papers .It's hard to see but the green paper is spotted.I stamped my flower then cut it out.

Day 156- Add 2 buttons .My image is stamped leaves.This paper from Kaisercraft is so pretty I didn't want to cover it up.

Day 155 - I really struggled with the first day and wasted 2 card blanks . I wasn't exactly thrilled with this card but it was a whole lot better than the previous two.I stitched the sentiment onto the card and also did a little stitching in the top corner. Patterned paper is Kaisercraft.

365 Cards -day 153 - Saturday sketch above. What can I say ?

New Arrival

Well , August has arrived before you know it .This is the last month of Winter here in the Southern Hemisphere and today is another glorious sunny day.The mail man arrived with my goodies from Uppity stamps this morning so it should inspire me to make a few things.Thank you to the ladies at 365 and to Kim for sponsoring the prize.
On Saturday I posted a card for a challenge at Little C's which I have won ,I have no idea what the prize will be.

I flipped this sketch on its side to make my card.I seem to have a got a bit behind with my cards for last week . I've made 3 this morning so if I continue I should catch up later this week.
