Up,Up and away in Turkey

We gathered very early in the morning quite excited about our trip.

Our pilot was very skilful and at one point we were very close to the ground and I managed to get a shot of the other balloons.

We've all seen balloon landings in Africa where the basket hits the ground and then falls over ,not so for our pilot who landed us on this small trailer - we were somewhat impressed.

This is the second card I made as GD on Made Especially for You . The challenge this week is to use 3 pearls and this card could not be more different to my previous post . I hope you all had a great weekend ,things were pretty quiet here until late yesterday afternoon. I decided it was time for a change on my blog and things went from bad to worse .I don't think I will have much spare time today so just for the moment the colours are pretty naff, need I say more. Acetate window

Our challenge at The Lollipop Ladies is all about Barley Sugar and Acetate. I used a sticker on acetate and then added glass paint .The bottle said 'golden yellow' but I think orange is nearer the mark so I was a bit disappointed that it is so dark.. I've also used an acetate sentiment . Mad For Markers are providing the prize.

This little cutie was coloured with Promarkers ,don't you just love them . A set of these pens came my way from Merry and I have probably had them more than a year before I started to use them . I bought the apple buttons for a card I will be posting on Wednesday but decided to use them for this card as well.

My needle case is so scruffy I've had about ten years ,this was a perfect excuse to make a new one .I'm not terribly impressed with finished result but this was the only cross stitch pansy in my collection of patterns.

A tweet little bird

Apologies for pic,had to put the light on as it's quite dull today so his little feet cast a shadow.I don't make many easel cards so I've kept it simple .I only wanted to put the red gems on alternate scallops but sods law it couldn't be done that way. Whilst I've been doing this post the dark clouds have rolled in and it's raining ,we don't get nearly enough so I'm not complaining.
UPDATE ,it's twelve noon .the rain has gone.sky is blue,warm sunshine and my laundry is drying outside.

I know I used this stamp on Wednesday and here it is AGAIN, sorry but I just love this little stamp and how many different ways you can make it look by changing the back ground details and adding colour or none at all.

The Lollipop Ladies challenge 50 - Bananas + Leaves - and what goes with them a monkey .How could I put anything else on my card.

Christmas or winter birthday

I'm a bit disappointed with the pic ,the base card I used is pearlised grey but it looks more like kraft . Pearls,white glitter and this fab image from Tina Wenke . This card could be for a winter birthday or christmas which is why I haven't put a sentiment on the front.
