'U' under the mistletoe

Beccy's place  - November challenge - 'U' under the mistletoe- this was the only image I had but it's so pretty - I printed out an extra bow but I haven't raised it up with sticky pads- it's just the thickness of the cardstock.

'N' is for Noel

'S' is for Santa

 

 

I will try and get a better photo as the green colour is very pale. As you can see Santas' work is done for another year .Beccy's November challenge - 'S' is for Santa soundly asleep.

'R' is for Reindeer and Rudolph

 

 

I love all things Scandi and their use of red and white . Sadly this was the only piece of gingham I had but I think it's enough to do the job.  Beccy's November challenge -'R' is for reindeer.

I looked on the internet and the partridge is not the most colourful of birds . Beccy's November challenge - 'P' for partridge and peartree.

'O' is for oval

 

 

 

Beccy's Place - November challenge -come and join the fun - lots of prizes on offer . I took the easy way out with this one and just did an oval shape - lots of pink and pale blue - I found a paper I liked and started from there with the colours.

'L' is for layers

Beccy's November challenge -'L' is for layers -  I think I must be a purple person , most of the flowers in my garden are purple . The papers are from lots of different sources - the sentiment stamp is from 'stamp-it'.

'K' is for king - 3 to be exact

I haven't celebrated Christmas since we came to Australia - it really is a Northern hemisphere thing with snow and lots cold weather-  family and friends getting together over the holiday period with all the males wearing their Christmas sweaters .

'G' is for glitter

 

 

I'm still playing catch up at Beccy's Place November challenge - 'G' is for glitter - I had a roll of sequin waste that was just the right colour and it was easier than I expected to stick it down using a little glossy accents and double sided tape.

'F' is for fancy fold

Beccy's November card challenge- make a festive card everyday. The papers are from the 6x6 paper stack Kaiser craft issued - I think maybe last year .  'F' is for fancy fold -can gatefold really be a fancy fold ?

I love this holly paper- it came from a Kaiser craft 12x12 Christmas pack in 2013.

Beccy's November card challenge- E is for embossing - I stamped the sentiment in gold ink but used clear powder to heat emboss and tone down the usual bright effects.Sorry about the pics it's very sunny here today.

City Crafter challenge - week 385 - jungle animals  - I'm not convinced about the colour combo
but it makes a change from blue or pink usually associated with baby cards. I used watercolour pencils to colour him .

The cards above and below were made with papers from a Christmas Pad - I've had the pad for a while and tried to use papers last year but none of them seemed to match so I think a lot of the papers will end up in the bin. I had stash of small envelopes and used an A4 piece of card which I cut up to make this fold over type card .

 

 

 

It's been ages since my last post -I've been busy getting the garden ready for the Summer and part of this has been making the veggie patch smaller- we always grow more than we can eat.

 

I'm working on a cross stich of a sausage which will be made into a cushion- it should be finished in the next two weeks.

Southern Girls - challenge 164 - tic tac toe  - I've gone with the diagonal of flowers ,image and ribbon.


We've had rain now for 2 days which doesn't happen very often - yesterday my little kitty Bella was very unhappy - we have a litter in the spare bedroom which she refuses to use - she wouldn't go out in the rain ( it was very very heavy ) - we sat her in the litter tray but it did no good - I'm guessing her tiny bladder couldn't hold it in anymore and at 4.15 this morning she came and woke us up so that we could let her out - as it's raining again today I have a funny feeling we will have to go through all this again tonight.

Tuesday Morning sketches - 411 - This little santa is very cute - I used crystal glaze on his boots and belt - glitter on the fur trim on his coat and hat - wink of stella on his beard.

I decided less is best and after looking through all my patterned papers I went for a plain one with a linen finish.

Christmas bling

Scrapbook Boutique - June challenge - a great colourboard if you love gold and black - my two patterned papers have been in  my stash for over 10 years and are from Paperflair - I used my favourite stamp for the sentiment which I stamped in gold and the used a clear embossing powder - 3 layers each for the trees to give them some depth.


Well ,the cold have really arrived now with a minus 4 last night - my craft room was so very very cold this morning - I did turn on the heating but for the short time I was in there it really didn't do any good - the lens on my camera kept misting over and I had take several pics to get just one reasonable shot.

I made these cards but didn't have the time to enter them into any challenges - I have been busy painting inside the house and also getting the garden into shape before the winter weather kicked in.

Southern Girls - challenge 162 - stuck on you - I used joggle eyes as my stuck on element- still keeping this card very CAS.


It seems forever since I last posted  - I did make some cards at the end of April and posted them off completely forgetting to take a photo.

This  card uses some of my washi tape stash -    the background is very very pale blue  - just need to add a sentiment -still deciding

DAD cards

 

 

 

I was asked for a Dad card with a motorbike - as you can see two very different cards - I give the top  image a modern paper to bring it up to date and the bottom image I added a slight bit of colour to match the trendy paper - the bottom card was picked which was when I added the sentiment - I will leave the top card blank until another male birthday of Fathers Day come around.

Once the images were coloured I added glitter to the veil and the bottom of her dress - I added a Wink of Stella to his bowtie and waistcoat - not easy to see on the photo.
