Ruby Wedding and Post 800
Ages ago I won some chipboard from Molossi and Marianne's , I wasn't going to use it but this card is quite large so the weight wasn't a problem . I gave it a fine spray of white paint before adding the embellishments.

Buttons 'n' Bows
Transform your buttons with a few gems -
I want to add another button in this left hand side but then I would have an even number . I feel there should be something in the top left -perhaps a couple of gems - what do you think ? Would this be a good place for a small sentiment like 'Thank You ' .

Happy Birthday
My friend Jeanne has a birthday today and as we approach winter here in Australia I thought the cheery colours would be good.

Mothers Day
I try and keep my buttons tidy in this storage box - good old shirt buttons and the like are just in a plastic ice cream tub . I used to spend hours as a child going through the button tin at my Nana's .

A bit of a mish mash
I say a bit of a mish mash because the balloons and the elephant were die cuts given to me by a friend in 2006 - the bakers twine , the rainbow stickers and the glitter embossing powder all came from different challenge wins.
Sadly I only had red balloons which I coloured white and then heat embossed with the lilac which came out darker than I was expecting - on reflection I should have covered the balloons with glue and sprinkled white glitter on them.
UnstampaBelles - It's the day to play along at challenge 34 - Incorporate an animal or a bird - option to use pastel colours - I think I was doing OK until the balloons - a bit too dark .

Sew Special
This card is for my Aunt - now in her eighties - many years ago she had a dressmaking business - I remember as a very young girl refusing to wear a very frilly pink and white gingham dress which she had loving made ( she never had a daughter ,only a son ). I'm not sure if she will recall this incident and I'm pleased to say we have always been very close . I only found out when I was in my forties that her and my uncle had wanted to adopt to me ( my parents didn't want me ). If only that had happened my life would have been very different.
Crafting with Dragonflies - challenge 24 - Mothers Day or Special Lady . The insert has punched corners and the body form image.

It's a circus
The wind has been howling and blowing really hard today but thankfully no rain - the sort of day to craft and kick back - I really should be painting -do I feel guilty - hell no. - the deadline to finish the kitchen has been and gone and I know it probably wont be finished by Easter so I've decided to chill out - the plus side of having no cabinet doors is that DH can find everything at a glance.
The Squirrel and the Fox - challenge 67 - All creatures great and small - I think I might just have this covered .
Southern Girls - challenge 89 - Earn your stripes - I even managed to mitre the corners . the stripey paper wasn't long enough to reach the top of the card so my sentiment covers the blank space .
Glossy Accents
Another week has passed on the kitchen reno - I was hoping to post pics last week but I'm waiting for a man to sort out my flue -( if you'll pardon the expression ) . After much debating we ripped out three wall cupboards to house the new cooker hood and this has caused the delay .

Furry alarm clocks
Before I assembled this card I printed out the cats twice - I tried adding some colour - grey to the white cat and some orange to the cat in the front - the grey was lovely but orange was just horrible -
Such a cute image from Victoria at AAA cards - This is a new challenge blog which will be starting in May - Victoria is looking for people to join her DT.
All of a flutter
Just a quick CAS card - all the elements came from a self adhesive pack -just assemble onto card stock.
My - what big cabbages you've got
One for the gardener - I used glossy accents on -carrots ,cabbages, sandals ,hatband and top of hoe.The image is Gardening Gus from Dr. Digi. Once I add a sentiment this card is going to my FIL - when he retired from work his leaving gift was a new greenhouse so I think he will like this card..

This must be one of the quickest cards I've ever made . Cake Crumb card base - a section of paper from Graphics45 - ' Kraft Reflections Collection- Forgotten city ' - I cut out two extra leaves , ( the ones with the black dots ) and raised them on sticky pads - added white pen to the other leaves - a thin border top and bottom - peel off sentiment - DONE -
Rhedd and Rosie - challenge 29 - Wood / Trees - Does my branch with leaves qualify .
Well - my branch does not qualify for this challenge - note to self and the rest of you check the challenge brief before you play along.

Birthday wishes
I'm easily seduced by spotty paper and once again I didn't think about the end result - I really wanted to add a sentiment but I so hate using gold - white wasn't an option and I don't have a cream coloured ink pad - must add it to my shopping list . The flower centers are from a sheet of peel offs..
Feeling Sketchy - sketch 84 - shown above .
Creative Craft Cottage - challenge 18 - Spots or Stripes - I made a card with Stripes last week so here are my Spots .
Just a quick card

Mothers Day in the UK
March 30th is Mothers Day in the UK - making a card for my MIL is always a labour of love . I made 6
cards and then let my husband decide which one he wanted to send. The red ladybug was his favourite .
I used a textured red card which I really like - when I added the white and green coloured pencils it looked like chalk. I tried the image on white but decided the black background looked better.

Southern Girls - challenge Floral Frenzy - how many is a frenzy -
Little birdies
It seems like an age since I last posted - very busy with kitchen reno at the moment - lots and lots of paint - all the colours have great names - along with the bog standard white I'm using 'Lambs Ear ' which is named after a plant in a very pretty shade of pale green. I will post before and after pics -I'm guessing in about a weeks time - but only if I work really hard .
Handmade Harbour - Mid week party 29 - Spring - birds -rabbits - flowers - I haven't added a sentiment- Birthday - Mothers Day - Thank You - I will decide later.
Creative Craft Cottage - challenge 18 - Spots or Stripes - I love the colour of this paper -packs a punch when a little black is added.
I wasn't very happy with my CAS card ( top pic ) -a bit too CAS so I added a few gems - much better.

Art Deco Roses
I'm not sure it shows up very well but the whole image has been covered with Crystal Glaze - quite a lot in fact -
I used glossy black trim in the corners and around the oval -again it's not so easy to see.
I love the clothes from the Art Deco era - lots of cloche hats - short hairstyles - flapper type dresses -
Crafting Musketeers - challenge 11 - Art Deco .
