more leaves

the Judikins leaf cube stamp I bought from the local charity shop was still on my table so I used it again.

I used the same layout as before just changed the colour combo. The stamp is still out so there may be more to come .

merry bauble paper

Love those pretty papers - december challenge  - christmas .

The paper is an 8x8 sheet from Trimcraft called 'The night before christmas.

quick and easy christmas card

This ' happy'  die is big and perfect for this technique  . This was the last piece of a 12x12 sheet of paper which I love .

it's a ho ho ho christmas

I don't have many dies so it was a bit of scramble to put this card together.

More Autumn hues

the butterfly stamp is from issue 239 of Simply Cards and Papercrafts magazine. I have to say I'm not a fan of the extra set of wings -  does it look odd to you or is it just me.

Moody autumn colours

This is a recent purchase from the op shop - new unused - a cube stamp from Judi Kins dated 1995. It has  4 leaves - Elm - Aspen - Maple and Oak. I will probably take them from the block at some stage. Just looked on E-Bay and there is one of these stamps available in the U.S -priced $5 .

It took  a lot of markers to make these little leaves and I think maybe a bit more red would have been good.

Say cheese

Lets craft and Create- challenge 212- A/G or add purple . I used a light and a dark ink pad to add some shade.

I've had this stamp set for many years , I think it may be memory keepers / american crafts ? I didn't stamp the inner circle with heart as the wonky circle doesn't seem to match the straight line of the camera. I take my pics with a small red camera and sadly it is reflected in the silver cardstock I have used.

Second chance

Last week I took a box of craft items to my local charity shop - lots of paper -punches that have now been replaced with dies -embossing folders which came with magazines that have never been used - embellishments and other bits I no longer use .  I also threw away partial sheets of peel off stickers in gold and silver ,some of these were over 20 years old .

The tree die was also in the charity box , used once in 2019  . I gave it a second chance and made this Christmas card - I'm not sure I like it any better 5 years done the  line - it may well be in the next donation box.

Do you have this die from Kaisercraft  and what have you made with it.

you are 2 today

I'm having trouble getting this to lay flat after embossing directly on the card base , perhaps I should have cut a front panel. I know I will lose some of the dimension but I'm going to run it through my machine to hopefully straighten it out.

flowers for you

Embossing folder from Couture Creations / Falling florals

I embossed and coloured the whole panel and then die a circle which was then inked with grey. It looked bit flat directly on the purple cardstock but by adding a silver layer underneath it seemed to bring a bit more life into the image.

So it was ready to go.

Same but different

My previous post shows the same flowers but with the addition of pink ribbon and pink layering card stock. I think the simplicity of this card  and the splash of colour is acceptable for a sympathy card. What do you think ?

This die was still sitting on my desk so I just had to use it again.  I used a darker green this time ( see 2 posts ago ) and used lilac which I think is lovely for a baby card,

Have a happy week ahead and make sure to get some me time. The winter here in Tasmania  has been very harsh with some very bad frosts and below zero temps. The next few days are forecast to be  cold, rainy and very windy. Hurry up spring .

Tulip time

I had to do a little fussy cutting as I wanted single flowers and not the whole bunch .

Stamping Sensations - august challenge in the garden -

The winter is almost over here in Tasmania and a few bulbs are already flowering but I will have to wait a while longer for the tulips to arrive. It's very dark and rainy here today so I will try and take a better picture  when it gets a bit brighter. the flowers are all raised on sticky pads and  the white background has been embossed with roses.

Little one - baby card

Over 20 years I have quite a stash of patterned paper - I should start off my projects with the paper first and then pick colours to match -  sadly I do the reverse which is why I had to make my striped paper for this card.

The elephant die is just a cheap one from Ali Express which I have had for a few years now. The sentiment is from Stampin Up issued in 2004 , YES 2004 . I added glossy accents to the flowers and some tiny tiny gems which I think were for nail art.

same but different

when one becomes two -  the washing machine was doing its stuff so I popped into my little craft space. I cut some pink gingham paper slightly smaller than my card base - I die cut 3 balloons and  3 stars -  stamped a sentiment and then I went to put my laundry outside to dry.

and this is where it goes wrong

1. I couldn't find the pink gingham paper anywhere, I don't have any spare to cut another one the same size.

2. change of plan - go with the black and white background and cut another piece - when I turned said piece over I had included the strip at the bottom of the paper - giving the maker and the name of said patterned paper. - again I didn't have anymore to cut another piece which is why there is a pink strip at the bottom to cover up my cutting mistake.

3.  As I stuck down the very last star hey ho I found my original pink gingham rectangle .  I pulled out the heart balloons and quickly made a second card.

Why does this happen- we have all been there, so frustrating .

Just playing

I used another connie fong image and cut him out. If you have never used Aquamarkers  before give them a try,  the red on the hat and scarf and direct from the marker - the flower is coloured with the same red marker but I add a drop of water on a block then add the marker  and use as a paint.

happy birthday butterflies

The flower and leaf stamps are from Altenew - the butterfly stamp is from Indigo Blu - the sentiment I picked up from a local charity shop with a few other stamps just in a plastic bag.

We Love Stamping  August  challenge -  focal sentiment or quote or A/G

I stamped and masked the flower and leaves then added some light blue ink before adding the stencil  with some slightly darker blue ink. Butterflies were stamped directly onto the card then stamped again and fussy cut.

Hello baby

I used the above markers plus the orange one in the pic below

I coloured the image first and then couldn't find any papers that were the right colour . I did have this spotty stencil which worked out really well and didn't add any extra bulk to my card. I only have one alpha die set and would really like to buy another set . Cute Ellie from connie fong.

hello kitty

Shades of grey and lilac to colour this sweet kitty from 'a day for daisies'. I'm fairly hopeless with the computer so I don't use digi's very often.

Let's Craft and Create -  challenge 210 A/G or grey with one other colour. The papers are both grey and so is my little kitty, lavender for her wings.

using up bits and pieces to make two cards

I found this 12x12 sheet with this unused spray of flower in my stash.

A bag of Christmas ephemera

I managed to split the flower spray and make two cards using sentiments from the ephemera.

ABC christmas challenge - N no stamping / O off the edge .
I think I've probably done both letters with my cards. The flowers have been raised on very thin foam ( our postal services are not happy with thick cards ) and both have gems .

it's all gone pear shaped

If you love the effect of water colouring then Letraset Aqumarkers do  a good job. Use them direct to paper for a deep concentrated colour or add water for a softer look.

Stamping Sensations - June challenge - mood board of A/G

I know this would have been pretty with lots of flowers around the die cut oval but I'm just not that kinda gal - as much as I love to see this on other crafters cards . This is about as fussy as I get.

an oldie in the spotlight again

I hope you can see a bit of the glitter on the petals.

Allsorts challenge week782 - A/G or a blast from the past - Having a quick look on my blog I used this stamp in June 2012 - it has long been a favourite. I used Aqua promarkers to colour this sweet image.
