I've had this image from Beccy's Place for a while  - I had a bit of spare time so tried it out- the background grey spot I stamped myself with a piece of sequin waste and a sponge.

Just leave me alone - talk to the hat !!

I thought she looked pretty ticked off with everybody -she was coloured with Copics for the fleshy bits and I used water colour pencils for the rest.I cropped the flower from her hat ,re sized it and layered to use in the top corner. Lots of glossy accents on both flowers.

I'm starting early this year

I'm making an early start on my cards this year so that I will have some spare to send to 'Caring Hearts '. The Caring Hearts card drive collects Christmas cards to send out to nursing and care home residents ..Spreading a little festive cheer to our oldies.

Crafty Creations - challenge 283 - White + One

  I've made lots of these in the past but usually with pretty patterned paper - must admit I quite the simple touch. If you need any dimensions the strips are 1cm at the wide end and approx 1/2cm at the narrow end - the longest strip at the bottom is 5cm -I then went down by a 1/2cm each time as the strips got shorter.

Just a quick post to wish you well for the weekend - if you stuck indoors because of bad weather ( and I know some of you are) dig out an old jigsaw or game ,better still invent a new game with the family - bake with the children , It's a scorcher here in my little part of Tasmania -sitting on the deck with some iced tea and a book would be lovely but I'm guessing that won't happen.


This week I've been playing with a new set of images from Beccy's Place - they are not available until March and this is sadly the end of my 6 months being on the design team . Some clever person said " as one door close another opens " and that has been true for me this week . Eileen from Creative Craft Cottage contacted me on Monday and asked if I would like to be a part of their design team - (be rude not to ) - so here I am putting the thinking cap back on.

Beccy's Place 'Valentine Set '

I only had time to complete one card using this cute bear but I know he will be on more of my cards - if you add your own sentiments he can be used  to send birthday love , mothers day or  a wedding anniversary. This is my last release set for February from Beccy's Place .

This was such a cute set to work with -I have 2 more images coloured that didn't make the deadline.

For the panda card I put  together 2 of the sentiments which I think works ok. If animals are not your thing then print out the hearts and use them as the focal point . Pop over to Beccy's Place to see all her great images.

New release set from Beccy's Place

My take on the new release set from Beccy's Place -  the Iris is such a pretty flower and with a little artistic licence you can make them any colour you like or you can print them out already coloured. You can buy the whole set as shown above or just an individual image -the choice is yours.
There is a call out for DT members at the moment .
