Our lovely friends in Wellington ,New Zealand are expecting their first child in April .I don't know if the baby is Arthur or Martha .This is the first card obviously for a boy,I will make another one in pink .

I hope you all had a great weekend ,I did two bike rides and boy does my bum feel sore .The fatter the bum the more that little saddle digs in .

More pink

Another pink card ,I'm not sure why but pink seems to be on most of my cards. at the moment. The paper is Michelle Powell and the image is from DZ Doodles,cut out and raised on sticky pads,done with water colours. The pocket is made from chopping down an old envelope ,sewing the edges together and attaching to two layers of coloured card.The flowers are made with a Stampin Up stamp and cut out, the tag says 'With Love'

I had a look at the colour challenge at Papercraft Star and thought this would be a pretty card to enter. I didn't read the recipe that went with it , my card should have had two of the following items ribbons,stamped image ,embossing and a die cut. Always read the instructions properly before you start .

Another quick post .I always seem to be busy these days ,I don't think I do more I'm just slower at what I do, If you know what I mean.

So Pretty in Pink

The weekend is almost here and on Saturday I'm going out on my new bike. I only cycle off the main road as I'm a bit wobbly and not very confident ,I guess this is what happens when you didn't get your first bike until the age of 45. Enough of that and on to the card

The image is a freebie from Priscilla Styles which I've had for a while .The paper is just a mixed pack from my local discount store and a corner stamp on more pink paper. I'm not sure the tassel is doing anything but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Cupcake Inspirations - challenge 94 -This weeks colours are pink,black and white. I could never bring myself to eat these wonderful cupcake creations or could I ! Take a look for yourself.

I've struggled with this one , the colour scheme is not really a mix I would go for. the stitching around the edges of the card and house is done by hand. My camera hasn't picked up the red colour very well. It is what it is !

This card is for the challenge at Creative Inspirations- challenge 94 -photo inspired using blue,brown and white.The centres of the flowers have a small amount of glitter which is difficult to see,the light is not so good today for taking piccies.

Anything you want in BROWN

I'm not really a brown person and my first thought was to pass on this challenge ,why would anybody want a brown card.

What a miserable lot you are

A BIG BIG thank you to the seven people who played along .What a miserable lot the rest of you are . Judging by the guesses left I should have had a face lift instead of a bicyle for my birthday lol ,questions on age can only lead to tears.

Two people were close but the winner who gave the right answer of 55 is Ann Marie Lessner .

I share my birthday with some very famous people including the late Elvis Presley, the very clever Stephen Hawking,the singers David Bowie and Shirley Bassey.If you have a birthday on January 8th check out this site to find more famous people who share this date.

This card is for Digital Tuesday - challenge 92 - Shop till you drop. All the paper is from a mixed pack from my local discount store. The sentiment is my digi bit as the image is a stamp. I made two tags .I prefer the top one,the oval is a bit big.

My birthday gift -Candy giveaway

A little gift for one of my 46 followers. I have a birthday this week and I would like to share it with my followers and give away some craft stuff. Pop along to my comments box and tell me how old you think I am. The piccie on my blog was taken six months ago so that should help. How easy is that.

The prize will include papers,ribbons,a stamp ,some chipboard shapes .I will be making a trip to my local craft shop and will add other things as well.

It's hard to see but I've used lots of chocolate brown and creams on this card. It was supposed to be for the JUGS challenge but I missed the deadline cos I was ironing ,don't you just hate that.

I have 2 tattoos and my nose is pierced-is this relevant ?

I met my husband in 1992 but have only been married 12 years.

I got a new Bicycle for my birthday .

Happy New Year

I hope you have all recovered from your Christmas and New Year Celebrations. NYE was very quiet for me . I spent the previous day doing a long walk on the beach and I think I had too much sun , it was a beautiful day but I do have some sunburn.

Yesterday I was watching a video on making flowers from pipe cleaners ( sorry I could only find these Christmas ones). My pipe cleaners are 30cm long and try as I might I couldn't make the flowers which Bev demonstrates ,I think I must have fat fingers as I couldn't complete the second half. If you have the same problem fasten 3 pencils together with a rubber band ,these now replace your fingers and off you go.

To every problem there is a solution.
