Gail, about Zest - yes you can buy it at Woolies - or an art shop. It is an oil paint dilutant and brush cleaner called ZEST-IT. I got it from Artery and it cost $12 85 for a biggish bottle. Just a bit on a cotton ball and then dip the paper stump into the ball and rub over the oil pastel, pencil or anything with wax in it. It spreads the color around nicely. If you use it too wet, the paper takes up the oil and gets a bit transparent, but it evaporates out if you leave it. I found it off the web but it has been around a long while. Doesn't work with the Inktense w/c pencils as well. Works really well with the Prisma's (I have a pack of 12 - very expensive but delicious)and Derwent Colorsoft pencils - I buy these loose at Artery in Hobart.

I have started adding these pencils to my Copic coloring too for added depth and using the Zest and a stump to work it in. Looks good.
